Did Captain James Cook see a somewhat similar view 200 odd years ago and reflect that he was on the opposite side of the world to his homeland? Although now denuded of their bush covering, the hills look down on an area which was exactly as Cook saw it in those adventurous days. Now named, of course, Cook's Cove, the little bay is becoming increasingly popular for picnic parties and tourists.
