Certificates of appreciation were awarded to Mrs L. Rogers (left) for services as a Cub leader to the Wainui Pack, and to Mrs G. Huberts (right) for services as a parent help to the same pack. These awards were made by Mrs Marjorie Sweeney (centre), East Coast District Cub Leader.

Another award, a gold thanks badge, was given by Mrs Sheila Scott (assistant leader, Kaiti Pack), to Mrs Mary Muirhead for services as parent

Fun and games were the order of the evening also. At this stage parents had to sort out their offspring who were neatly disguised in large paper bags

The evening ended with the group singing a number of Cub songs
