Nothing Secondary About This Lot

There was nothing second rate about the garments made and modelled by the entrants in the secondary schools' sewing competition organised again this year by Melbourne Cash.

The standard was high all through, and for the second year in succession first prize went to Beverley Adsett of Lytton High School.

The judge couldn't fault Beverley's meticulous work. She is shown parading in the top coat, in black and white herringbone, over slacks, which won her the first prize.

Second place was taken by Kay Edwards who made this slack suit in dark green.

Third prize went to Sharon Proudfoot who made this fawn and white check cape over fawn slacks. Other entrants are also shown.
