Empire Day Commemorated

Victoria League Entertains

The Victoria League guested over 90 senior citizens to a special afternoon to commemorate Empire Day on May 24. Special guests were the Mayoress, Mrs Nita Barker, and the Member of Parliament, Mrs Esme Tombleson. All were welcomed by the league president, Mrs H. D. Chrisp.

A cake for the couple married longest was received by Mr and Mrs A. P. Thomson, 211 Lytton Road, who celebrated their golden wedding eight years ago.
