New Top-Class Accommodation For City

Adding to the availability of accommodation in the city is the new Teal Motor Lodge at 479 Gladstone Road (next to the Red Cross Centre). Trans Eastern Accommodation Ltd., has completed the first stage of its motel complex and this includes eight units and the manager's residence and office. The full complement will consist of 25 units, and plans are under way for stage two which consists of further units and a swimming pool, etc.

The new motel, with its slightly Oriental flavour, presents a handsome frontage to Gladstone Road.

Hostess Jose Mellelieu serves a Continental breakfast to motel occupier Syd Sullivan, who, incidentally, lived and worked in Gisborne before leaving for Wellington 18 years ago.
