Bowling Season Opens

September 27th marked the opening of most of Gisborne's outdoor bowling clubs.

Kahutia Bowling Club. The Club's 1969-70 season was declared open by Mr W. L. File (president) and the first bowl was played by the president's wife. Pictured are some of the members enjoying the first game of the season.

Committee members for the 1969-70 season are, from left, Mesdames Beth Lennie, Sadie Lloyd, Joan McMurray, Eve Purcell (secretary), Miss Ruby Preston, Mesdames Glad Adams (president), Ellen Jackson, Lill Butler, Adrienne McGee, Kath Powell, Enid Read, Alice Robertson and Vi Hume.
