Botany Exhibit
An exhibition commemorating the great contribution to New Zealand botany by Sir Joseph Banks and Dr Daniel Solander will be held in Alfred Cox Park from August 29 to September 5. Proceeds are to go to the Community Hall Appeal. The exhibition is being organised by the Business and Professional Women's Club with 11 primary schools contributing to the display.

With some of the trees growing in tins and to be used in the display are Wild Life warden Peter Fisher and junior naturalists Hugh Foster, Tony Ratcliffe and Neil Walsh.
