More Fish In The Sea

There are more fish in the sea than ever came out of it. They say.' But judging by the number of sprats, mackerels, etc., that were caught during a recent fish catching competition we wouldn't be too sure.

Organised by Gisborne Leatheries and John Bull's the two days of the competition attracted many entries.

First-day winner with the largest fish was Murray Parrish. He is pictured with his brother Colin and sisters Carol and Diana.

First-day winners with the most fish were Gary, Allan and Glenys Croker.

Most fish caught on the second day were taken by Richard Ferris, Marion Barbara, Wayne Ferris, Tommy Irwin, ard Eddie Goldsmith who is away on his paper run.

Graham Barbara caught the biggest fish on the second day.

Sefton Gregory of John Bull's had his time cut out weighing fish.

Ross, Barry and Graeme Braybrook preferred their fish with chips from the fish shop
