Over the Ocean Bleu

All the way over to Melbourne, in fact, will go Peter Chatfield (above.left) and his crew Murray Elsmore (above right). They will compete in the cherub class of the inter-Dominion yachting championships which start on January 1.

Their selection was assured when they gained a first and a second placing at the recent trials held at Napier.

The yachting season is under way once again and white sails will dot the bay before the many changing winds which will be encountered during the summer.

Philip Green was unlucky enough to break a mast early in the piece. He is towed in by the launch Janet which does sterling service during the season.
