Sterling Effort

A great effort by all concerned resulted in the Mangapapa School Queen Carnival raising over $8,500 towards the cost of their new assembly hall.

The winning queen was Pauline Williams who was duly crowned with pomp and circumstance at the school's fancy-dress ball held in the Y.M.C.A.stadium.

Heralds are Stephen Kinge, Richard Ogilvie, Alan Croker and Nicky Frankish.

Nigel Reichenbach, Mark Latta and Grant Talbot were present at the coronation

Heather Humble, Carol Ngatai and Robin Thompson also came to the ball

Three more ready to enjoy themselves are Susan Crawshaw, Faye Johnstone and Jan Taylor
