Here And There

There were plenty of entrants for the Tonka Toy competition "Draw the Tonka Toy You Would most like to Win", and the standard was exceptionally high. Run by the Variety Bookshop for the Tonka firm the prizes were presented at the store by Dexter Hutchins to the winners.

Providing delightful entertainment at a concert in the Lytton High Assembly Hall recently was this group of juniors from the Mangapapa Maori Club. Pictured below they are, from left, at back, Linda Tatare, Peter Fox, Hinehou Swann, Patrick Te Runa, David Swann, Charlie Tawhai, Ian Fox, Diane Fox, Tawhiao Kingi, Mark Wise, Nigel Jones, Elizabeth Peachey, Kevin Wells, Kieren Wells and Peter Swann. The centre row is Con Jones, Adine Fox, Diane Gerrard, Jane Wise, Donna Jobson, Eva Peachey, Karen Swann, and, in front, Clare Wells, Lynne Wise, Louise Swann, Agnes Swann, Kiri Swann and Sonny Jones.
