Coming And Goings

They have been prominent leaders of the Waihirere Maori Club for the past ten years, and their loss will be keenly felt. Both are versatile in all aspects of Maori arts and crafts and between them have taken part in 400 performances with the club. They were also members of the Maori Competitions Committee.

On transfer to Otira are Jock and Enid Tuari and family John, Kim and Robyn. Jock has been with the Railways Department since leaving Gisborne High School, and Enid with Morrisons as a typist-bookkeeper.

Off on transfer to Petone is Ian Walker. Prominent in the Yacht Club and a teller with the Bank of New South Wales, Ian, 22, is the son of Mr and Mrs A. T. Walker, Taruheru Crescent.

Mr and Mrs Tom Sellwood, 40 Waitangi Street, have left Gisborne and retired to Auckland. Tom has spent 40 years with the Department of Agriculture, the last 17 in Gisborne as Field Advisory Officer.

Captain Murray Connor, Army officer at Gisborne for the past three and a half years, has been transferred to Fort Dorset. Captain Connor is pictured with his wife Patricia, son Ray, and daughter Ann.
