Tip Top Tattoo

The R.S.A. Tin Hat Club turned on a rip roaring tattoo for the last night of the season at the club rooms. Highlight of the evening was the lavish production of "Cinderella" which is still being talked about by those lucky enough to witness the presentation.

Prince Charming (Hank Shelton) tries the boot (I mean fibreglass slipper) on Cinderella (Ken Wood) as the Baron (Bruce Duckworth) looks on.

Both are then extremely happy because it fits.

Guards at the palace were whistling happily away. They are Bruce Duckworth, Hank Shelton, Noel Jones and Ben Nickerson.

Jim Lynch, George Rawlings, Max Ledger, Bruce Duckworth, Johnny Simpson (producer), Ben Nickerson, Ken Wood and Hank Shelton were the cast of play

Ross Glover accompanied Ian Mullooley, baritone

Ken Wood, Cyril Lundon, and Mickey Brown performed an operation on "patient" Don Gooch behind the scenes

Rex Hickman and Johnny Simpson enjoyed the whole evening

Music from Muriwai was supplied by John Taukamo, Moana Kemp, Mars Pohatu, Ron Pohatu and Jerry Wawatai

Stewards for the night were Laurie Jacobs, Bert Lee and Reg Brinmer
