Surf Life-Saving
Six Gisborne Surf Life Saving stalwarts received awards for their outstanding work in improving the standards of surf life-saving.
Mr John McLean, Mrs Hazel McLeod and Miss June McGregor received the Local Service Awards.
Mr Ken Morse received the Distinguished Service Award (a very high award) which was issued in New Zealand for the first time this year by the National Association.
