More Vandalism

Last month we had a few words to say on the series of vandalism acts inflicted on items of beauty in our city.

Since then the vandals have become even more brash when on a recent Friday night they attacked a young silver birch tree which was to have been a feature at the front of our new, and much admired, library building. The tree was half uprooted and broken in two. Although readily replaced by council staff, the loss of many months' growth and the advantage of seasonal planting is irreplacable.
