Where Are They Now?

....Peter And Jennifer Omer are in Europe on a working holiday. Peter, son of Mr and Mrs J. J. Omer, Hexton, was a technician at Station 2ZG, and later with Walker's Teleservice, while Jennifer, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. G. Burt, 79 Stout Street, was employed at Adairs After their marriage a year ago, they left New Zealand to work through Europe and Britain, where Peter visited his 91-year-old grandmother at Hull. Most of their travelling has been done overland in a mini estate car, and it is in this vehicle that they are now starting out on the long journey back to Gisborne, through Europe, India, and Australia, with the intention of being home for Christmas. They are pictured at Land's End, 11977 miles away from home.

....Kathy Lewis is at Cooroona Ski Lodge, Victoria, Australia, working for her second season as a housemaid waitress, and skiing in her spare time. A former P.B. representative indoor basketball player and member of the Herald office staff, Kathy's home town is Mahia. She left on her working holiday to Australia in June last year, and after four months at the ski resort, worked in Canberra as a laboratory assistant at the National Biological Standards lab, doing research into human and animal diseases. She is pictured with "Ferdinand", her pet 25lb experimental rabbit at the lab.

....Dr Helen Angus is in Christchurch where she has been on the staff of the Pathology Department of Christchurch Hospital for six years. Daughter of Mr and Mrs J. M. Angus, corner of Stafford and Clifford Streets, Helen was dux of Gisborne High School in 1952, and graduated M.B. Ch.B. from Otago Medical School in 1958. She recently became a member of the College of Pathologists of Australia.
