Junior Rugby

The Gisborne Junior Advisory Board, which has organised and supervised the running of Saturday morning competitions for schoolboys, treated the 500 boys under its control to an end-of-season function in the Intermediate School Assembly Hall on a recent Saturday morning.

At the function the captains of the winning teams were presented with their trophies by P.B.R.U. president, Mr Arthur Toye. Pictured after the prizegiving round Mr Toye, and with Mr Bob Brown, chairman of the junior advisory board, are Billy Toroa, Kaiti 12th grade, Gerald Greig, St. Mary's 13th grade, Rangi Pomana, Riverdale 11th grade, Ewen MacDougall, Pirates 12th grade Efficiency Cup for all grades, and Tony Coutts, Ilminster 10th grade.

Absent: Api Hinaki, Intermediate 9th grade.
