Spring Flower Show
The R.S.A. Hall drew a constant stream of people to admire the splendid blooms at the annual spring flower show. The standard was high and the judges, Messrs Brian Burke and Jack Broad had an unenviable task choosing the placegetters.
Champion bloom of the show went to Jack Tombleson's "Lochen", a daffodil of perfect symmetry which is shown with his daughter Evelyn who is holding the cup.
