Introducing

....Bob Moffat (left) and Doug Jessop are shipwrights with the Gisborne Lightering and Stevedoring Company. Bob came to Gisborne from Leith, Scotland nine years ago with his wife and two children, and now lives at 292 Aberdeen Road. He enjoys watching soccer and visiting his daughter and grandchildren in Rotorua. Doug lives at 31 Rawiri Street, and came from Kent, England, 15 years ago. His leisure time activities include following soccer and fishing.

....Brenda Callaghan, 119 Sheehan Street, is the multiphoto photographer and print finisher at Mayfair Studios. She came to Gisborne from Tolaga Bay while attending secondary school, plays basketball for Greywing, and enjoys swimming, photography, and sewing her own clothes.

....Mick Thodey runs his fruit and greengrocery shop on the corner of Roebuck and Gladstone Roads, and resides at 27 Lyndhurst Street with his wife and three children. A former cricket and tennis player, he enjoys gardening and listening to classical and opera music.

....Bert Cowan, Bill Andrews, and Bill Thornton staff Common Sheltons drive-in wine and spirit store and gas station in Palmerston Road. Bert resides at 174 Wainui Road, has one son, is a keen gardner, and follows racing and most sports. Bill Andrews, of 30 Andrew Street, enjoys swimming and fishing, and recently became the father of twins. Bill Thornton has one daughter, lives at 8 Turenne Street, and follows sport in general. He has been a prominent local boxing trainer for the Railways Gymnasium, and is a member of the Cosmopolitan and Savage Clubs.
