nurses graduate
Six staff and six registered community nurses graduated at the August graduation ceremony at the Cook Hospital. Guest of honour was the director of nursing, Mrs S. Bohm, who presented the medals to the graduates.
Prize winners are Leslie Grant (J. Tombleson Rose Bowl), Pam Duckworth (T. G. Hall Cup), Juliet Thomas (tutor's prize), Pam Newman (first year aggregate), and Jane Ferguson (second year aggregate).
Community nurse graduates pictured as they took part in the candle-lighting ceremony are Mrs Dorothy Robb, Heather McLeod, Mary McRae, Isa Koia, Katrina Frandi and Shirley Dewstow.
Graduating staff nurses and prize winners are Elaine Pryde, Elizabeth Hudson (third year aggregate), Judith Gowland (Miles Cup), Daphine Cannell (Sister Bunt Rose Bowl and gynaecology and obstetrics), Louise Boyce, and Meillng Louie (Maternity Nurse Medal).
