Good Deeds Well Done

The annual International Scout Week, during which Scouts undertake to perform deeds of public service, took place during the August school holidays.

Delegates from Kelvin undertook to clean equipment at the Fire Station, while members of Takitimu, under the organisation of Harvey James who is at present working for his Queen's Scout Badge, off-loaded brick waste into the gaps along the river bank by Read's Quay, and then covered it with earth for grass sowing. Both highly commendable efforts.
