Welcom To Gisborn

×

Such is their satisfaction with life in little ol' Gisborne that John and Mary Williams and family who came from England to live here one year ago persuaded Mary's mother and father, Mr and Mrs Bob Knight, of Surrey, to follow them to Gisborne. John is a fencing and scrub-cutting contractor, and Bob is a carpenter-joiner. They are pictured together at the Williams's home at 509 Wainui Road. From left: Catherine, John, Harry, Mary, and Sarah Williams, and Bob and Sheila Knight. A brother, Terry, has also decided to emigrate here, and is at present en route.

Another new addition to the 2ZG staff is Julian Beer, who has taken the position of advertising sales manager. He was formerly from Rotorua.
