J.C.'s 21st Birthday

The occasion of the Gisborne Jaycees 21st birthday was celebrated over the holiday weekend. A stag party on Friday, a dinner and cabaret on Saturday and a concert on Sunday were features of the celebrations.

Wilfred Kohn (first president of the organisation in Gisborne), Graham Urry (present president), and John Cable (a life member from Wellington and guest speaker), join hands to cut the handsome 21st birthday cake.

Randal Clare (left) was presented with a Senatorship Award by John Cable. A rarely-bestowed honour, the award is given for outstanding service to the organisation, and the presentation was a very popular one.
