This light commercial van was hit "right between the eyes" when it collided head-on with a power pole in Stout Street.

The final removal of the former Police Station, houses, and cell block on the corner of Peel Street and Childers Road was completed recently when bulldozers pulled down the last remaining wall. The site is now clear, in readiness for the construction of the new station.
