Interport Sports

Teams representing 422 sportsmen throughout New Zealand converged on this city recently for the Interport Sports Tournament. That the participants were true sportsmen was evident when the visiting cricketers spontaneously presented a cup to the Gisborne cricketers for being the most sporting team. Although Gisborne didn't win a match they turned out every day to give a visiting team a game.
