The internationally acclaimed Polish concert pianist Niedzielski played to a small but enthusiastic audience in the Opera House. Touring New Zealand with his French wife, the famous pianist carried his own piano in a specially designed trailer towed behind his car. Unloading the piano at the Opera House are, from left, Messrs Jim Collier, Niedzielski, Len Brown, Lyall Flett, and Jeffrey Collier.

Two brothers, Messrs Richard Fisher (left), of Freemantle, Australia, and Gavin Fisher, 329 Aberdeen Road, met for the first time in 40 years when Richard spent a short stay in Gisborne.
