Jehovah's Witness Assembly

More than 500 Jehovah's Witnesses from the Hawkes Bay-Poverty Bay-East Coast circuit attended their six-monthly assembly, held at Poho-o-Rawiri meeting house.

At the assembly, eight people were baptised by total immersion, including three Gisborne folk, Mrs B. Morgan, and Mr and Mrs W. Seymour.

Present at the assembly were five New Zealand missionaries who had returned home for Christmas.
