Here And There
The Gisborne Playcentre, in the P.R.0. Hall, recently treated its young patrons to a Christmas party.
A sick porpoise recently beached, and subsequently died, at Waikanae Beach, near Roberts Road. Examining the unexpected visitor are, from left: Frank Amann, Graeme Beere, Ronald Amann, Gary Cantlon, and Cheryl Clayton.
Fish tale of the months goes to Mr and Mrs Alfred Cox who landed a shark while fishing in Poverty Bay with a Kon Tiki from the beach near the Waipaoa River mouth. After being landed, the shark gave birth to 18 babies, seen here being displayed by Mr Cox.
