Gisborne boxer Trevor Allen, 15-year-old son of Mr and Mrs J. S. Allen, 21 Miro Street, has boxed in district and national tournaments with considerable success over the past three years. Trained by Mr Bill Thornton of the Railways Gymnasium, Trevor was runner-up in his class at the 1963 N.Z. Junior Championships, won the 7st 71b title at the 1964 championships, and was eliminated by a split decision in the 1965 event. Of his 31 fights, he has won 18. (Lloyd Cornish).
