Cinderella Ballet
More than 70 pupils of the Regency Blair School of Dancing, ranging in age from two-and-a-half to 16 years, presented a most successful ballet version of Cinderella in the War Memorial Hall.
The production was the school's annual end-of-year recital and was watched by a capacity audience.
The leading roles were played by Carryne Compton (Cinderella) and Jennifer Berridge (Prince Charming), with the musical accompaniment by Mrs I. Ovenden.
Prince Charming takes Cinderella's hand as she alights from her pumpkin coach. Others are, from left: Judith Lawton, Sally Leeves, Gael Johnstone, Richelle Mills (ponies), Patricia McCracken, Cherry Mason (coachmen), and Vicki Thomas (bridesmaid). The two mice are Julie Kennedy (aged two) and Anne Mehrtens.
Young dancers played flowers, chicken, bluebirds, and mice.
