Bethel Chapel Opened

The Open Brethren's handsome £17,000 church in Gladstone Road, the Bethel Chapel, was officially opened last month with a dedication service.

Guest speaker at the service, which was presided over by the secretary of the Gisborne Assembly, Mr A. T. Yarrall, was the well-known evangelist, Mr Colin Graham.

A feature of the chapel is its large sound-proof children's room, which is separated from the main area by a wall of glass. Behind the church is a Youth Centre hall, kitchen, and other amenities.
