Puppet show

Hundreds of Gisborne school children took the opportunity of seeing a live puppet show during their recent holidays when Mrs J. Vanderwerss and her son Andrew, of Feilding, staged performances for a week in Adalrs Department store.

Friends of Mrs K. Kissling, 54 Clifford Street, Mrs Vanderwerss and Andrew decided to have a working holiday in Gisborne.

The puppets were all personally Made, from papier mache cloth.

Their performances in Gisborne were the first they had made outside their own district.
