High School Battalion Paraae

A battalion parade at the Gisborne Boys' High School marked the end of barracks week for some 314 volunteer cadets.

The parade was the last fullstrength one to be staged, as a reorganisation of the battalion will reduce its numbers by half.

After a brief inspection by the headmaster, Mr G. M. Simpson, and the Gisborne Regular Force Area Officer, Captain M. Connor, the battalion marched past.

Static demonstrations of infantry weapons and equipment followed the parade.
