A former Gisborne resident, Mrs R. J. Barnes, now living in Matamata, sent us this picture of her l2-year-old son Rex, who has achieved considerable success scholastically and in sport in his new town. Rex topped his class last year, is in his school's first cricket XI, has been junior diving champion for three years, and was runner-up in junior swimming, Thank-you Mrs Barnes, we like to hear from ex-Gisbornites, young or old, who are doing well in other places.
