Gisborne runner Alan Parkinson, who was originally selected as first reserve for the New Zealand Harrier team to compete in Belgium, has now been named as a definite member of the team. He is pictured running a six mile race at the Childers Road Reserve, when he returned a time of 29min l8.6sec in reply to a request from the N.Z.A.A.A. for a "satisfactory" time.
