An exhibition of art, including paintings from Gisborne, Whakatane, and Kawerau was staged by the Opotiki Art Society recently.
At the official opening of the exhibition, the guest artist and patron of the society, Mr Paul Kingdom, chats with Mrs Mary Wi Repa, a well-known Maori artist.
Mrs I. Neilson and Mr H. Gravatt discuss some paintings.
The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs S. Chatfield, were interested viewers.
A section of the audience listens to the opening addresses.
