At The Competitions

The Gisborne Competitions Society's annual festival once again gave an opportunity for the talented young artists of Gisborne to try for honours in their various fields.

More than 2000 entries, many of which came from outside districts, were recorded for the festival......the 46th to be staged by the society.

The main venue this year was the War Memorial Hall, which saw constant action for eight days, but other smaller halls were also used for daytime events.
