Mr Graham Hollobon, former organist at the Holy Trinity Church, pictured with his wife waving farewell to Gisborne when they left by rail last month. Mr Hollobon is travelling to America to do post-graduate studies in music at Yale University. At the station he was farewelled in boisterous style by members of the Holy Trinity choir, who showered him with confetti (top right).

Three Waipaoa Station School pupils who won a special award in a N.Z. Holiday and Travel Association contest, pictured at Darton Field prior to leaving on a four-day visit to Wellington. The contest was competed for throughout New Zealand, and required the entrants to write about another Commonwealth country. From left: Captain J.
