Popular Youth Club

The Gisborne Youth Club, which was formed last year with the idea of providing Sunday afternoon entertainment for the city's teenagers during the winter months, is again in full swing this year.

Running in the War Memorial hall, the club attracts about 400 young people every week, who spend an enjoyable few hours dancing or playing table tennis or darts.

The programme is organised by the club's own committee of 11, which is supervised by an adult committee of 12, and an advisory council comprised of Messrs F. A. Herkt (Lions Club), G. Harris (R. S. A.), and W. Goodison (Police).
