Visit By English Badminton Coach

The highly-ranked English badminton coach and player, 43-year-old Maurice Robinson, conducted two coaching sessions for Gisborne Badminton Association players during his recent two-day stay in the city.

The first overseas coach to visit Gisborne for 30 years, he is on an eight-week tour of New Zealand. In play, he has defeated every English international star since the war, and has won almost all the county championships he has entered. He has also coached several British and Continental players to stardom in recent years.
