Bulk Petrol Delivery Changes

The Shell Oil Company's bulk petrol delivery system underwent a change this month when supply was altered from sea to rail. A short railway siding was constructed across the Esplanade adjacent to the harbour basin to facilitate unloading from the tankers into a pipeline running up to the company's bulk store in Crawford Road.
