Open-air Dance and Concert

The Gisborne Skating Club recently held an open air dance and concert at their rink in Alfred Cox Park, the proceeds of which were donated to the Cook Hospital Chapel Fund.

The programme included items by three dance bands, a gymnastics display by the Y.M.C.A., and novelty acts by members of the skating club.

During the evening, the club captain, Mr Len Williamson, presented Miss R. D. Bunt, matron of the hospital, with a cheque for £40. An additional £10 was also donated.
