Poverty Bay Stampede

A grand procession, depicting almost every angle of horse life imaginable, paraded through the city from Customhouse Street to Churchill Park Motor Camp on a recent Friday night.

The parade was organised by the Greater Gisborne Community Public Relations Office, and was originally intended as an opener for the Poverty Bay Stampede, but owing to adverse weather conditions, had to be postponed by one day.

Although the weather was by no means perfect when the parade was held, a large crowd of interested spectators lined almost all of the route.
