Cobham School Officially Opened

The Cobham Primary School in Lytton Road, which serves the southern Elgin area, was officially opened and named by the chairman of the Hawkes Bay Education Board, Mr W. Smith, at a function at the school late last year.

The school, which was named after the former Governor General of New Zealand, Lord Cobham, had a roll of 103 pupils last year, but this will be increased next month with the intake of new five-year-olds.
