Champion Skaters Visit Gisborne

The four amateur world champion German roller skaters, who are at present doing an exhibition tour of New Zealand, gave an exciting display of grace on skates when they appeared on the Alfred Cox Park Skating Rink before a crowd of over 2500 people on a recent Wednesday night.

The quartet, comprising Karlheins Losch, four times men's solo world champion, Marlies Fahse, 1961 ladies' solo world champion, and the world pairs champions, Werner Hoffmann and Margot Ludolph, are very young considering their impressive record, averaging in age, only 20 years.
