A high award in the scouting movement, the Medal of Merit, has been awarded to Miss J. McGregor, of Gisborne, seen here presenting honours at a cub camp at Morere. Miss McGregor joined the scout movement in 1941 and since then has been cub mistress to the Warneford Pack and later the Norwood Pack, which she started. She is assistant district commissioner for Wolf Cubs. Much of the success of the cub movement in this district, which includes Wairoa, Nuhaka, Te Karaka and Tokomaru Bay, is attributed to her energy and enthusiasm.
