Gordon Boyd, another of the Boys Brigade contingent which recently returned from overseas, is off again at the end of this month, this time accompanied by his older brother Malcolm (at right), who owns a true soprano voice and wants to go to Italy. They are sons of Mrs Dobbs, formerly of the Roebuck Rd. fruit shop.

Mr A. H. De Costa, Clifford Street, who was re-elected president of the New Zealand Air Force Association for a second term, at the annual conference of the association held in Wellington recently.
Miss Sandra Hill, daughter of Mr and Mrs L. W. Hill, Gladstone Road, who left New Zealand on November 27 to study ballet with the Sadlers Wells Company, London, on a Government bursary with a term of two years.

Miss J. I. Martin, matron of the Cook Hospital, who will retire at the end of the year after an association with the Hospital lasting 13 years. She has served two terms as president of the N.Z. Registered Nurses' Association, and is nationally known as an able nursing administrator and educationalist. Her successor will be Miss R. D. Bunt, who is at present matron for the South Otago Hospital Board. She was previously a sister-tutor at Cook Hospital.
