At St.Luke's Church, Waerenga-a-hika, Shirley Kathleen Akroyd, daughter of Mr and Mrs E.P. Akroyd, Kaiti, to Desmond Stanley McKenzie, son of Mr and Mrs S. McKenzie, Chalmers Road.
With the bridal couple are their attendants, Miss Lynette Akers and Mr B. O'-Loughlin.
The engagement was announced recently of Miss Akers, who is the elder daughter of Mrs C. H. Ancrum, Hexton, and the late Mr H. W. Akers, to Philip James McLoughlin, only son of Mrs and the late Mr T. J. McLoughlin, Patutahi.

At left are Mr S. Wooster and Miss Margaret Craig (sister of the bride) and at right Miss Alison Greaves (sister of the bridegroom) and Mr K. Robertson. The couple's future home will be at Wharekopae.
