Tennis Champions

Gisborne was favoured recently with a visit from some of New Zealand's top-ranking tennis players, who played demonstration matches before a large crowd at the Poverty Bay Association's courts in Childers Road, and also conducted a "tennis clinic" for the benefit of younger players. They were Miss Judy Burke and J. Robson, who were Davis Cup representatives from N.Z. this year, Mrs Robson, who has also been overseas, and A. Burns.
