Kiddies in Fancy Dress

The sight of hundreds of children in fancy dress at the annual Christinas party given by the Gisborne R.S.A. in the Army Hall for the children of ex-servicemen was one which must hare gladdened the heart of Santa Claus, who was an honoured guest at the party. The variety and ingenuity of the costumes defies description, but our selection, made at random while the grand parade was in progress, will give some idea of the scene. Brides, Robin Hoods, and (top of next page) nurses, cowboys, Red Indians, and even a "space girl", mingled with representatives of China and the East, and gave the judges a more than usually difficult task to select the winners. Once this was done, the children were free to have fun and their fill of the good things provided.
